Edge blended projection on Curved surface
Overview
Here is the reference design for edge blending multiple projected images on a 180-degree curved surface.
Reference design
Projectors: With carefully controlled ambient lighting, it’s essential to use 6 projectors with a brightness of 6000 lumens or higher and a minimum FHD resolution. To ensure proper image warping and geometric alignment, please note that projectors with throw ratio shorter than 0.8:1 should not be used.
*Use our edge blending calculator to determine the optimized configuration of projector specifications and quantity.
Image processing: Use two units of M813 to configure the video wall setting, cropping the overlap for edge blending, edge blending and warping for 6 projectors all in one device. If your projectors have sufficient edge blending and warping functions, opt for G904 and G902 to configure the video wall and overlap setting for 6 projectors.
Input source: Use a playback device capable of outputting a signal with a resolution of at least 7680×1200@60hz. Alternatively, use the G901 to combine two 4K sources into a signal of 7680×1200@60hz resolution. This signal can then be fed into the cascaded two M813, streamlining the workflow and increasing flexibility in input source adaptation. The overlap regions can be configured by GeoBox and no need to be prepared from the content.
Note that the content needs to be created in the same aspect ratio of the entire wall. In this case, the content should be made in the aspect ratio of 25 : 3.
Projecting on a curved wall measuring approximately 25 meters wide and 3 meters high.
