Ultra-wide screen projection

Museum ultrawide

Overview

This is the reference design for blending multiple projected images on an ultra wide surface.

Reference design

  • Projectors: Use our edge blending calculator to determine the optimized configuration of projector specifications and quantity.

  • Image processing: Use one *M81x to control up to x projectors, configuring the video wall setting, cropping the overlap for edge blending, edge blending and warping all in one device. If your projectors have sufficient edge blending and warping functions, opt for G900 series to configure the video wall and overlap setting across projectors.  (*the last digit of the M810 series indicates the projectors that can be controlled)

  • Input source: Use a playback device capable of outputting a signal with a resolution up to 7680×1200@60hz.  This signal can then be fed into the M810 series, streamlining the workflow and increasing flexibility in input source adaptation. The overlap regions can be configured by GeoBox and no need to be prepared from the content.

Note that the content needs to be created in the same aspect ratio of the entire wall for optimized result.

How to select the right projectors

Based on the size of the wall (s), viewing distance, and ambient light, you can decide how many projectors you need to cover the wall, and to decide the specifications of the projectors, such as brightness, resolution and throw ratio.  Click below article to get the tips on projector selection.

How to prepare content

GeoBox allows the use of any playback device, selecting the right one is crucial for a smooth workflow and seamless content delivery, enhancing the viewer experience.
