Project background

Daisy Co., Ltd. , a company involved in digital art and other art production and new business prototyping , has adopted our multi-display controller GeoBox G406S for their work “ancient aquarium” (Exhibition Room 6: Ancient Memories), which was exhibited at the Karuizawa New Art Museum ‘s special exhibition “Irreplaceable Things – Earth, Landscape, and Environment .” The high image quality and synchronization accuracy of the G406S have been well received, leading to their adoption.

This work uses real-time rendering and game AI of video game technology, and depicts the ancient fish coelacanth swimming freely on a six-panel multi-display. The same scene is never repeated, and with the mirrors on the floor, the exhibition gives the experience of peering into the ocean of ancient times.

System configuration

Three 4K images output from a PC were input to the G406S. The G406S then cropped out only the upper half of each 4K image, which was then output to two displays in full HD (1080p), creating a six-screen multi-display setup.
