MULTI-DISPLAY PROCESSING

Video Wall & Multi-Display Processing

Hardware Processing for Coordinated Display Systems

Distribute, crop and position high-resolution content across multiple displays while keeping output processing and synchronization independent from the source system.

From conventional LCD video walls to creative mixed-orientation arrays and high-resolution LED displays, GeoBox provides dedicated hardware processing between the source and the display system.

TYPICAL APPLICATIONS

Where GeoBox Fits

Multi-Screen Video Walls

Distribute one high-resolution canvas across multiple displays with independent image control for each output.

Typical systems: LCD video walls, command displays, presentation walls and information displays.

LED Wall Processing

Prepare, resize and compose source signals before they reach the LED controller, including applications requiring non-standard canvas resolutions or multiple source windows.

Typical systems: corporate LED walls, large-format presentation displays and visualization environments.

Creative Display Arrays

Build coordinated display compositions using portrait, landscape or freely angled screens without redesigning the source content for every physical layout.

Typical systems: retail displays, exhibitions, experience centres and architectural installations.

SYSTEM ARCHITECTURE

What Does the Processor Need to Manage?

The first step in selecting a video wall processor is deciding whether the system primarily needs to distribute one display canvas or compose multiple independent sources.

ONE CANVAS → MULTIPLE DISPLAYS

Distribute a High-Resolution Canvas

Choose G900, G400 or G413

Use a GeoBox video wall processor when one source canvas needs to be divided, cropped and mapped across multiple displays.

This architecture is particularly useful when:

  • one high-resolution source spans several displays
  • every output requires independent cropping or positioning
  • bezel compensation or display orientation needs to be handled in hardware
  • synchronized outputs are required
  • display configuration should remain independent from the playback PC
MULTIPLE SOURCES → ONE DISPLAY CANVAS

Compose Multiple Independent Sources

Add S902 when greater source-layout flexibility is required

When several independent sources need to be freely positioned, resized or layered, use S902 as a front-end composition processor before the video wall processing stage.

Typical requirements include:

  • multiple live sources on one display canvas
  • freely positioned and resized source windows
  • source layering and overlap
  • seamless source switching
  • changing presentation layouts without rebuilding the content canvas

Note: For simpler PiP or multiview layouts, G900 or G413 may be sufficient without S902.

Product Selection

Choose the Right Video Wall Processor

G900 Series

4K / UHD Multi-Display Processing

For high-resolution systems requiring UHD output channels, advanced source processing and flexible display configuration.

Best suited for

  • 4K / UHD display systems
  • high-resolution LED walls
  • applications requiring built-in multiview or custom output timing

G901, G902 and G904 provide different source and output architectures for single-display and multi-output applications.

G400 Series

Mainstream Multi-Display Distribution

For Full HD and WUXGA display systems requiring scalable channel counts and independent processing for each screen.

Best suited for

  • WUXGA multi-display systems
  • higher output-channel counts
  • scalable conventional video walls

G406, G408 and G406S provide 4, 8 and 2 independently processed outputs respectively and can be combined for larger display arrays.

G413

Creative & Free-Angle Video Walls

For display layouts where screens are installed at arbitrary angles or positions rather than in a conventional rectangular grid.

Best suited for

  • asymmetric display layouts
  • freely angled screens
  • creative retail and architectural displays

G413 provides four independently processed outputs with free-angle image rotation and supports profile-based layout playback.

OPTIONAL SOURCE COMPOSITION

Need More Flexible Multi-Source Layouts?

S902

Add S902 when the display system needs several independent input sources to be freely positioned, resized, layered or switched before they are distributed across the physical displays.

Best suited for

  • control rooms
  • presentation systems
  • multi-source LED walls
  • sports and broadcast environments
  • frequently changing source layouts

LED WALL SYSTEMS

Working with LED Controllers

GeoBox does not replace the LED sending or receiving system. It operates upstream of the LED controller to prepare the video signal and display composition before the image reaches the LED processing stage.

Use GeoBox when the system needs functions such as:

  • custom output resolution
  • multi-source composition
  • source cropping and scaling
  • adapting content to unusual LED canvas formats
