G900 series
4K/UHD Video Processing with Programmable Output Control
G901 · G902 · G904
1 / 2 / 4 UHD output channels · Programmable output timing · Low-latency hardware processing
One Processor. Multiple Display Architectures.
From High-Resolution Source to Display-Ready Outputs
Crop and distribute one high-resolution source across multiple UHD displays.
Create display-specific output resolutions and timings for non-standard LED canvases.
Crop, scale and synchronize content before projectors perform their own geometry correction and edge blending.
What G900 Does
Control How High-Resolution Content Reaches the Display
Crop, scale, rotate and distribute high-resolution content across video walls, LED canvases and projection systems — with independent control of output resolution, aspect ratio and synchronization.
Image Cropping & Distribution
Select the required region of a high-resolution source independently for each output channel.
The G900 Series can divide a larger canvas across multiple displays, crop the exact area required for each destination and compensate for bezel or overlap regions without modifying the original content.
Typical applications
- UHD LCD video walls
- Large-format LED canvases
- Multi-projector systems
- Portrait / landscape display combinations
- Multi-unit cascaded installations
Programmable Output Resolution & Timing
Define output resolution and refresh timing according to the actual requirement of the downstream display or LED processor rather than relying only on standard VESA formats.
This is particularly useful for:
- dvLED canvases with non-standard resolutions
- Wide or narrow display surfaces
- Specialized projection systems
- 50 Hz installations
- Systems requiring optimized pixel-to-pixel mapping
The programmable range extends horizontally up to 7680 pixels and vertically up to 3840 pixels within the processor’s 600 MHz pixel-clock limit; achievable resolution and refresh-rate combinations depend on the total timing requirement.
Image Rotation & Aspect-Ratio Control
Adapt content without rebuilding it
Each processing channel can independently crop, scale and orient its image.
Supported image operations include:
- 90° / 180° / 270° rotation
- Mirror and flip
- Image position adjustment
- Scaling
- Flexible aspect-ratio adjustment
- Up to ±1800-pixel adjustment on each image edge
This makes the G900 Series suitable for portrait displays, mixed-orientation video walls and canvases whose physical aspect ratio does not match the source format.
PIP, POP & Multi-View Processing
Combine additional sources directly inside the processor without introducing a PC-based compositing workflow.
PIP and POP are available across the G900 Series, with predefined split-view configurations for applications requiring multiple source images on one or more displays.
Main and sub-images can be independently cropped, scaled, rotated and positioned.
Model capability
- G901: up to 4 source windows
- G902: up to 5 windows across two displays
- G904: up to 7 images on one UHD display, or up to 10 windows across four displays
For applications requiring fully free-positioned multi-source windows and dynamic layering, consider the S902 instead.
3D Format Conversion
Adapt specialist 3D formats to the display
The G900 Series includes professional 3D decoding and format-conversion functions for active and passive 3D applications.
Supported workflows include conversion between formats such as:
- Side-by-side
- Top / bottom
- Frame sequential
- Frame packed
- Line interleaved
- Dual-camera / discrete left-right signals
The processor can also decode left- and right-eye images for passive 3D display architectures.
Source Switching
Maintain a stable output while sources change
G901 can operate as a five-input / one-output UHD source switcher while maintaining continuous output to the downstream display.
This avoids unnecessary downstream display re-synchronization when operating modes or sources change.
Video Performance
High-Resolution Processing without PC-Based Rendering
4K60 & Ultra-Wide Input
Process UHD / DCI 4K signals at up to 60 Hz, with HDMI input support for ultra-wide formats up to 7680 × 2160 @ 30 Hz.
G901 additionally provides DisplayPort 1.4 inputs supporting formats up to 7680 × 4320 @ 30 Hz.
RGB 4:4:4 Processing
Full-color 4:4:4 processing preserves fine text, graphics and detailed image information required in professional AV, visualization and data-display applications.
10-Bit Video Processing
10-bit processing, high-quality scaling and motion-adaptive de-interlacing maintain image quality through scaling and format conversion.
HDR & BT.2020 Input Processing
HDR10 / BT.2020 source signals can be detected and processed, with controlled SDR RGB 4:4:4 output for professional display systems.
Engineering Features
Designed for Fixed AV Infrastructure
Frame Synchronization
Synchronizes outputs to maintain stable timing across multi-display installations and reduce visible timing differences between display channels.
Profile Saving & Recall
Store up to 10 complete system configurations for applications requiring different operating modes, source layouts or display configurations.
Programmable EDID
Configure EDID settings to manage source compatibility and define the preferred input format for different system requirements.
Custom Output Timing
Define custom output resolution and timing when the display requires a non-standard format, including dvLED applications and projector systems operating at 50 Hz.
GCT PC Tool
Configure G901, G902 and G904 through the GeoBox PC control environment for system setup and commissioning.
External Control
Integrate GeoBox functions with third-party control systems for remote operation, preset recall and system automation.
Typical System Architecture
Separate the Source Canvas from the Display Layout
A high-resolution source provides the complete content canvas.
The G900 Series then crops, scales and formats the required image region independently for each output, allowing the display architecture to be changed without rebuilding the source content.
With G902 and G904, HDMI loop-through allows the common source signal to be passed to additional G900 processors as the number of display outputs increases.
For projection systems: when the projectors already provide sufficient geometry correction and edge blending, G900 can operate upstream to perform image cropping, distribution, scaling, custom output timing and synchronization, leaving the final geometric alignment to the projectors.
