Verticle deep dive
Multi-purpose controller box: Multi-viewer, 3D, Seamless switching & more..
GeoBox G901 is a small but powerful UHD 5-in-1-out video processor. It can be used to solve various problems in many applications, including multi-viewer, 3D conversion, 5 to 1 seamless switching, output non-standard resolution for LED wall. It is equipped with the highest standard spec comparing to products in the similar sector, and with recent two upgrades– Seamless switching, and 3D format conversion, that brings G901 to the spotlight of this month.
Application 1: UHD quad split multi-viewer
G901 allows you to real time display up to 4 sources on one UHD display in the way of PIP or POP or 3/4-split view. PIP images can be placed in any location and in any size across the display. POP images can be placed side-by-side or top-to-bottom. Uniquely, all multi-viewer windows can be rotated, flipped, and swapped around independently, with adjustable cropping area and aspect ratios. Up to 10 display modes can be pre-saved for different presentation scenarios. Through the combination of G901 with other G900 series, more multi-viewer views (6/9/16-split view) can be created. Click below video to watch the demo.
Application 2: 3D format converter
On top of the powerful multi-viewer function, G901 is recently upgraded to support 3D format conversion function. It can convert HDMI 1.4 standard 3D format (side by side, top/bottom, frame sequential, line interleaved, frame packed, discrete dual camera…etc.) into side by side, top/bottom and frame sequential 3D output format. It can also decode 3D signal into discrete RH or LH for passive 3D display. As Line interleaved format is usually used by medical device while which cannot be supported by most 3D devices. You can use G901 to convert Line interleaved 3D format into other 3D format so it can be played by the 3D device.
Along with the popularity of AR/VR application, G901 is also used to combine signals from dual cameras into one 3840*1080 side by side or frame sequential 3D format for HMD 3D display. Click here to learn more about how G901 is utilized in the 3D application in the medical filed.
Application 3: In combination with other GeoBox to create “Multi-view” on any large display system
The G901 can be used to create different display settings from up to 5 independent input signals. This allows user to create various types of content, such as videos, presentations, and conference calls in different format, and display the combined content on other large display system through another GeoBox controller , such as multi-projector edge blending system or a video wall. Click here to learn the reference case of using the combination of G901 and M802 to create large projection in a School Theater for multiple purposes.
Watch the demo below.
Application 4: 5-in/ 1-out UHD Seamless switcher
In additional to 3D conversion, another upgrade in G901 is Seamless switching function. It can now be used as a 5-in/1-out UHD seamless switcher. There will be no frame loss when switching among sources, and it means that when you apply different source to projector, there will be NO more time spending on re-searching input source.
Watch the demo below.
Application 5: High quality LED wall front end processor
Last but not the least, G901 can be used as LED wall front end processor if true “pixel-to-pixel” display quality is requested. G901 allows you to crop images with specific resolutions and location from the signal source, and then output it to LED wall in optimized resolutions (user programmable). As LED wall is usually with non-standard image resolutions, by doing so, the best image quality and aspect ratio can be maintained.
G901 has five inputs (3x HDMI 2.0b and 2x DisplayPort 1.4) and one output (HDMI2.0), supporting max. input resolution 4096×2160@60Hz or 7680×2160@30Hz, and output max. resolution 4096*2400 @60Hz. It supports RGB 4:4:4 chroma sampling without compression, and BT.2020 HDR10 input signal processing.
