The Holodeck: A Futuristic Meeting Space

Immersive meeting room

What brings the trend of "Holodeck experience"?

The COVID-19 pandemic has forced the corporate world to adapt to new ways of conducting remote meetings. However, some forward-thinking enterprises have recognized the importance of face-to-face communication, especially for critical matters. These innovative organizations have developed a compelling framework to ensure that each in-person meeting is not only meaningful but also impactful.  Increasingly, reputable organizations are transforming their meeting spaces into cutting-edge experience centers designed to captivate the senses. Inspired by the futuristic concept introduced by Star Trek in the 1970s, this is now known as the ‘Holodeck’.

Building a Holodeck with GeoBox

Projectors and video walls are excellent display options for creating a unique Holodeck experience for your customers. GeoBox is designed to provide seamless and reliable multi-display functionality, enabling you to transform any video stream into any display format. This allows you to build a visually immersive experience for the Holodeck meeting space.

To inspire you, following is one example of the stunning displays that can be achieved with GeoBox innovative technology.

Jan Snel Experience Center

The Jan Snel Experience Center is a prime example of how innovative technology can be used to create a captivating Holodeck experience. GeoBox edge blending controllers (G800 series) were used to control a total of six projectors, four of which were located on the three-sided walls. The remaining two projectors were used for the interactive projection table in the middle. The result is a seamless and immersive experience that engages all the senses, making it a truly memorable experience for visitors.
