Newsletter July 2024: GeoBox Discovery

Unlike any other summer in previous years, we filled up almost every week from June with exciting business trips. The first stop was Malaga, Spain—a historically significant city for trading, now enriched by culture and tourism.  Attending CMMálaga, Culture & Museums International Tech Forum was a transformative experience for us.  Our mission at CMMálaga was clear: How To Enhance Museum Visual Experience with Immersive Projection Technology?

Here’s a summary of our key insights:

Enhancing Museum Visual Experiences with Immersive Projection Technology.  A noteworthy trend we observed is that today’s decision-makers are highly self-educated, often researching extensively before making purchasing decisions. This shift necessitates a transformation in the role of sales, moving towards a more advisory and consultative approach.

Despite time and location constraints that prevented us from concealing all equipment and cables, this turned into an excellent demonstration opportunity. It allowed us to explain our visually striking presentations in an authentic and practical way. Serious visitors spent time marveling at the “wow” factor of the moving art, eager to learn the intricacies behind it.

Need some tips for such an immersive solution?  Then read the following article to learn from our “behind the scene” story :
💡How To Enhance Museum Visual Experience with Immersive Projection Technology

Key Takeaways:

Advisory Sales Approach: Decision-makers in the museum sector prefer an advisory role rather than traditional sales pitches, given their extensive pre-purchase research.

Authentic Demonstrations: Practical demonstrations, even with visible equipment, offer excellent opportunities for in-depth discussions and engagement.

Educational Engagement: It’s crucial not just to present beautiful visuals but also to explain the technology and processes behind them. Visitors are keen to understand the “how” behind the impressive displays.

Our experience at CMMálaga reinforced the importance of combining technical skills with educational storytelling. This approach not only captivates but also informs, paving the way for better decisions and successful integrations of immersive technologies in museums.

We look forward to continuing this journey, transforming museum experiences through innovative projection technologies.
